While Nehra was back on the sidelines and GT unexpectedly

When the Mumbai Indians needed to win by 48 runs from 36 balls with seven wickets left, nobody could have predicted the storyline. The visitors not only had a chance to make history as the first team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to defeat the Gujarat Titans, but they also had a chance to become the first team to win a season opener since 2012.

Despite their best efforts, Mumbai’s bowlers, led by Hardik Pandya, were unable to keep Mumbai out of the run-scoring fight in the last overs. However, Umesh Yadav’s lack of interest kept Dafabet login from winning the thrilling match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, preventing Yadav from making an incredible comeback to his former team.

With the Gujarat attack bowling some tight overs in the final overs, Mumbai appeared to be winning. In the 17th over, Rashid Khan gave up just three singles. In the eighteenth over, Mohit Sharma gave up nine runs along with a wicket. In the penultimate over of the match, debutant Spencer Johnson Betway login gave up just eight runs and two wickets. Mumbai had to chase 19 runs in the final over despite a valiant effort from the bowlers.

After Rummy Online, who caused a stir by beginning the match at No. 7 for Mumbai rather than his top-order position at GT the previous two seasons, hammered a six over extra cover and then a boundary on the first ball of the final over, the visitors had some hope. With great joy, Ashish Nehra returned to his seat while an emotional Sachin Tendulkar praised the effort. MI required nine runs from the final four balls.

With the third delivery of the over, Umesh reaffirmed his short- and quick-bowling style by giving Rahul Tewatia an easy chance to catch at long-on after Hardik failed to clear the boundary.

The skilled Indian fast bowler Piyush Chawla delivered a short ball that fell to Rashid Khan at deep mid-wicket. It was level and straight.

While Nehra was back on the sidelines and GT unexpectedly made a comeback to the game after getting two wickets in quick succession, Sachin remained silent and tense in the dugout.

After MI failed to muster any form of resistance in the final two deliveries, losing one wicket apiece with the lower order exposed, Gujarat triumphed easily by six runs at home.
